Topic: CB550k headlight wont turn on now

ok. so i stripped my bike apart to powder the frame and upon reasembly cant get the headight to work..it worked before i took it apart..tested the bulb and its good, new battery also...it should turn on without the motor running correct? any ideas??

well...basically you can start with a multi meter and begin tracing. Check at the fuse block for power and then go from there depnding on what you find. then on to switch then on to head light bucket checking all of the junction points.

Not sure what year bike you have but I believe they all should work without running as long as the ignition is on.

hey man...dont know how old your headlight is but you could start by cleaning the contacts on the light...i had to do the same for mine

It worked when we took it apart. new bulb and new handlebar switch. We don’t seem to have power now though. the high beam indicator wasnt working either.... ill do some more digging tonight and see if i can come up with anything...thanks!
