Topic: Will this Rim fit??

I found this rim and the owner told me it came off an Yamaha 82 650 something.

I know the 400F has an 18 rim, but doesn't that mean I'll need a 1/2" taller fender??

And I have my rake slightly too steep in the front anyways because of my non-stock rear shocks.
 There an extra inch!

This rim and my future purchase of an XS650 rear aluminum rim was my plan.

Well, there's a picture to look at and I know how to count.  Sure looks like 40 spokes to me.

Early XS 650 had 36 spokes, Late XS 650 had 48 spokes

The chrome cover looks like Suzuki.
 I have a wheel with similar hub (but chrome rim)
 I think its early GS750.
That may be a later GT750  (waterbuffalo) or someone fitted shouldered rim?
A close up of hub/ brake rotor would make it easier to recognise.
 XS has 36, 48 or 64 spokes
