WHAT?!? V16 out of 4 Yami 4's
« on: November 30, 2008, 06:24:56 PM »

Found this on The Kneeslider.  Apparently Callaway has created a V16 out of 4 Yamaha inline 4 cyls.  Pretty cool...

Here is the link:

Wow! The mind boggles at the possible applications... maybe a Caterham?  :)

I like it better w/o the plastic cam cover... covers.

Cool find.

Oh God how I love excess!

Better to have too much than not enough I always say.

And if sufficient isn't enough too much is just right.

According to specs it puts of 550 hp and that makes perfect sence, my FZR (mildly tuned) put out 138 rwhp on the dyno.

On the other hand, if one wanted 500 hp (with slightly less excess...) I guess one would go down this route:

Just seems more managable in a bike compared to the V16, haha  ;D

In its current state of tune, it is actually putting out 640 hp with a redline at 11,500 rpm.
