CB550 forks, removing gators, need source
« on: December 26, 2008, 07:22:32 AM »
After doing a bit of searching all I could find were old ebay listings for the fork caps that replace the gators.  Does anyone know where I might be able to find a set of these as I want the naked fork look.

The stock fork boot caps from a 77-78 model fit on directly.

The earlier fork "ears"/upper fork covers have a feature to retain the accordian style top.  It looks odd without something stuck in it, like a hack mod, in my opinion.  77 and 78 model fork ears don't have this.
