Ron Asheton, guitarist for the stooges, dead at 60

he was found dead in his Ann Arbor home today. looks like he'd been dead several days. so far theyre saying natural causes. one of my favourite bands of all time, Iggy and the Stooges.  http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx?news=346384&gt1=28102

Sad news. All the 60's and 70's heroes are dropping like flys lately. Iggy himself is a freaking tank though.

yeah, he really helped to form my early guitar playing style. first band i was ever in was a punk band. we did lots of iggy and the stooges covers.
