carb overflow spitting
« on: January 20, 2009, 09:57:44 AM »
Hi Guys. Bike was running fine until recently. Out on it when it went sluggish and then died and will not start. When I kick the bike over, fuel spits out of the overflow tube, more so when the throttle is wide open and kicking at the same time. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what to try first.
many thanks

Is there rust in your gas tank?

Has the bike been sitting unused for more than a month or 3.

Have the carbs been cleaned?

Have you looked inside the carb bowls for debris?

Hi Two Tired. Bike is in regular use. Tank clean and bowl clean. I was wondering if the float needle might be sticking so would replacements be a good place to start?
