Just want to say hello.  I am a newbie to motorcycle. Have been riding just last summer. I just pick up a 1976 cb550 SS for $500 and road it home mid winter. It's a mixedbag of other bike. The front end is xs650 fork and wheel. The tach is new and speedo is missing. I guess it was in the process of becoming a streetfight/cafe racer/rat bike. I am in the process of turning it into a cafe style bike. No money so I am making most part and the seat my self.  Fortunately I Just found this site. I am looking forward to becoming SOHC motohead.

Welcome to the madness mate
Theres enough know how in this forum to do almost anything you want with your bike, you just have to search and ask.
One tip to keep the rabble at bay is to remember that a picture is worth a thousand words
