What is missing here???
« on: February 07, 2009, 05:06:08 PM »
Well, after a grueling experience  tring to install new handlebars ,I finally got all the wires ran and hooked the left side controls up(the hard one) and now I am stuck at the right side controls. Seems there is something I am missing maybe. Mine is a '75 cb550 and has the light switch  integrated with the kill switch.  There is a little board and a single bearing and I cannot figure out the logisitcis of what goes where so the headlight on off switch works. I have looked everywhere for anothere open one to compare it to but have found nothing . Someone help quick! It is sooooo riding weather here this weekend in NC!

Ok so I found a retaining plate that goes in like so. I am trying to find a picture of the inside that is complete to compare to.  Found a few but not close enough up to compare. The slide switch is comprised of what parts? Anyone no where there might be a parts exploision to see this  ,or is it considered a solid unit. the parts diagrams I have found just show it as one piece in the explosion.

Bearing goes in the black block with the tit that engages selector lever. The spring pushes the ball into 1 of 3 notches that lock light in HI, LO, or OFF posistion.
