thanks guys!!....as far as i know the paint is original although i dont think the tank stripe is correct for a 72......i was told by the p.o. that the bike sat for 18 years at some point (12,000 miles)........i had a lot of work done to it to get it ready for the road after i bought it.........now it runs and rides perfect....i love it!!

Yeah, you sure it isn't a K3? I assume you ran the numbers to check?

Is that Candy Bacchus Olive? any chance of a close-up of the paint. Me like it, it's purdy.

Those green ones are pretty rare! And real pretty, too! What a beauty.

Are you sure that is a 1973?
It is a beautiful bike, but I have a 1972 and it dosent have the warning lights on the handle bar mount.
Mine are in the insturments themself.
Your bike looks identical to my brothers 1973 that he sold last year.

krixxer, if the sun is out tomorrow i will try to get a close up of the paint......thanks

Def K2 gauges, and the rest of the bike looks ot be more K2 than anything.  Tank and side covers do appear to be K3 and original paint.  What was the bike titles as?

My K3 has a seat with a pattern of a center seam goind down the middle.  My K2 did not come with an original seat.  Anyone know what an original K2 seat looks like?

that is a beautiful bike. i had the honor of doing all of the upgrades on it last winter... progressive shocks, cartridge emulators, dyna-s,  carb rebuild, new chain and sprockets, etc... runs and looks great.

phil- i'm pretty much moved into the new shop now, so we can talk about that head, etc. soon.
