I'm not saying that you would necessarily have problems, but you could. That's why I posted the link, so people could make up their own minds about it. It's just more information that's all. I ran silicone for a couple of years myself and don't think I had a problem from it...but I may have. ;)

I used a synthetic in my 750 and braking is very strong, well at least as strong as a single puck caliper can be. I still have the original brake line I think. It is rubber anyways. I want to get a braided but I have too much other stuff I want to tinker with to afford it right now, maybe over the winter.

i dont think fluid type matters as much as making sure the system is in good working order. It does not matter what fluid you get or how often you flush if you have worn parts. Both must be in good order.

Mike, he'd been out in the bush too long, saw "Silicone" and just had to have it..   ;D    Now he's making up some excuse about needing the brake fluid too.

Sad but true guys, in 1997, (when I restored the CB350F) Silicone brake fluid wasn't in abundance, so I drove over to a specialist brake place and bought a 500Ml bottle of "Penrite" silicone brake fluid, and that's what I paid, 50 bucks. (that's about $40.00 US now, but was probably closer to $25.00 US then, the US dollar has fallen thru the floor compared to other currencies since 9/11) Cheers, Terry.  :'(
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
