You all will really like this
« on: February 27, 2009, 02:57:24 PM »
The wife got a new ride; an SV650.  She ordered Givi bags and hardware for it.

Now picture this:  A woman buys an expensive new dining room set.  If the husband then dares to lay some bike or auto parts on that table, well, she'd clobber him!  My wife just got an expensive new dining set.  Our first, actually.  Just last night she told me to get my helmet and duds and stuff offa there.  So today, I see her laying out the mounting hardware (some pretty heavy stuff) and sorting it on the dining room table!  If that'd been me, I'm quite sure you all would be reading my obituary.  ::)  Really gotta love it!  :D

The only women I can think of who might do such a thing are Hope and Looneymoon.

If she's a normal woman, she'll simply say, " Do as I say, and not as I do."
At least, I'd probably say something like that with a smirk on my face. LOL. best of luck with that battle. ;)

Harsh break dude! Hahaha

Don't worry, next time she does it, just start laying out parts next to hers... see what happens then.  8)

you ever notice how we (men) are quick to give other men suggestions on how to deal with thier wives? It's because we know that the results won't be good, we are just not sure how bad it will be. We don't want it happening to us we just want to watch ;D "Dude that sucks, I wouldn't put up with that crap."  Whats that? Hell yeah I know what I'm talking about! I've been married for over 20 years! Whenever my wife starts some crap with me, I just..........................hey guys be right back. I gotta finish the dishes. ::)

Nope, don't say a word... just pull back in your lane and ride on. It's a trap, never ever say anything on Friday....

Sometime this weekend she'll pull the table cloth off of it and find a few gashes and then promptly cut you down to size for putting your helmet on the table!   ;D

does she like her new ride?

I took a photo for later evidence/blackmail.

She likes the Suzuki a lot.  So far she's only put maybe 250 miles on it, but she says she likes it a lot better than her Shadow VLX.  Soon as I replace the gastap on the Shadow (that I broke taking the tank off), it'll be up for sale.  Anyone looking for a mild 600cc Shadow?

I'm itching for a ride on the SV650, myself.  It looks like a load of fun.

glad we still have a cheap dining room table and I can get away with heavy stuff on it.  She still won't let me bring a bike into the living room, though I have done a set of carbs in there.

Glad to see she likes the SV, I've been thinking about trying my first modern bike and thats what I have my eye on.

I put about 100 miles on an SV and loved it.  Comfortable, stable, quick in the turns, and torquey.

You'll like it a lot.  I did.

As for the dining room table, just pretend it never happened, because as far as she's concerned, it didn't. ;D ;D
