Dented points covers

Whats have with every points being dented up exactly the same? You can tell its not because the bike has been down because there are no scratches. Just a bunch little tiny dents.

Dropped while stationary in gravel.  When the same thing happens on the left side it does no damage because the stator cover is much stronger.
