CR Special
« on: March 18, 2009, 07:15:05 PM »
Picked up a used set of 31 mm to go a big bore motor I was building. Decided to put them on my very nice blk/blk F 2. I noticed the "mounting rails that traverse the top and bottom of the carbs each have a bunch of simple factory marks on them. for example # 2 carb has only two marks . # 4 has about 8. Anybody know if they are "actual" marks that are ment for line up? or is it something else. Any help would be gratefully received. Sorry no pics, dead battery in camera..

The marks are used yo get the correct carb spacing. CR's are used on many different bikes....liberal carb spacing adjustment and mounting adaptors make it possible.

Thanks..any idea which ones to use or is it just a trial and err thing? Also how long should by adapters be? The ones I got measures 2 inches. With my K & N pods it misses the down/side rails on the frame by about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Should I be using a shorter length?
