cb500 carb problem again
« on: April 06, 2009, 11:13:13 AM »
Hi
i start up engine with the air level to position 1 (see foto) and engine runs ok at 2000 rpm...but
when i open the throttle and revs go up to 4rpm they stay there even if i close throttle....only if i turn
air level almost to position 2(if i turn total to position 2,engine stop) engine goes back to 2000rpm(i know that engine must run at 1000rpm idle speed but i found that problem first and thying to solve it).
Is my problem air leaks, throtle cables??????or something else?

how clean are your carbs, and are the throttle slides sticky, cables lubed or hanging up somewhere ??
