1971 CB750 vin
« on: April 08, 2009, 10:16:59 AM »
I recently picked up a 1971 CB750 that had been in a field for the last 15 years.  Only thing missing was the turn signals.  It turns over with the kick start and the compression is very low on three cylinders.  The vin's are CB750E-109441 for the motor and CB750-1094087 on the frame.  Does anyone know what the 9 is in both vin's, (since I live in Canada, could this be a Canadian bike?)  Anyone have any answers.  Thanks.

they start at 1 and go up so the 9 means nothing, those numbers are a 1970-71 model year K1
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
