« on: April 12, 2009, 12:51:47 PM »
Just bought a 1973 CB750K but I think it has differnt front forks(maybe) least the rotor looks to be a 79. Just trying to figure out what brake parts to get?

Need a better and bigger picture.
Get a close up of the disk, caliper and mounting points

When I clic on your pic it doesm't enlarge much.

Even turning my laptop on it's side didn't help view the top pic ;D

That handlebar clamp is of a 650.  The upper triple must be too.
Dohc 750's of the years might have the same.
Over the years who knows what pieces parts have been used.
I seen a 80 650 once F/S with a drum front brake.

73-76 CB 750 fork.

Rotor looks a lot lighter, but looks like it will work, check spacing. If disc is thinner you may have to nill some of the caliper mount.

if it's a 5-bolt rotor, it's got to be a 79-82 wheel, right gents?

I looked at 76 750k for comparision and the forks look the same, triple tree looks different and the both front wheels wheel have a five bolt pattern for the rotor on the left side. On the front wheel of the 73 it has the speed O on the left side of the hub and doesn't have the five bolt pattern on the right side of the hub. My 76 750k has a 5 bolt pattern on both sides of the hub on has the speedo mount on the right side.

The gas tank looks like a 74 350f!

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Jeez what a Frankenbike, CB650 is right the top is all 650!
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
