Motorcycle Classics Project Cafe CB500 articles for download
« on: August 19, 2009, 01:36:28 PM »
So a few months ago I picked up the Motorcycle Classics magazine where they happened to be rebuilding carbs on a 1973 CB500 and found the article amazingly helpful. Needless to say, I ended up reading up on all the installments of their CB500 rebuild and decided to compile it into a pdf article for myself and anyone else needing details and pictures on topics they had covered, and also to preserve the amazing guide that Landon Hall at Motorcycle Classics had built from disappearing from the digital world forever in the event that their webmaster decides to pull it. So after a few hours of formatting, here it is: The pdf contains the articles:

Part 1: Intro
Part 2: Rebuilding forks
Part 3: Rebuildg carbs
Part 4: Rebuilding head bearings and swing arm
Part 5: Rebuilding the caliper and master cylinder

Being 2.7MB, I couldn't figure out how to upload it to the forum, so it can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?kczxwnlgebj At least for now.

Enjoy! Maybe it can one day be filed into the FAQs or manuals section?

STICKY!!!

You know, I have seen the videos from this build on YouTube before.  Where at are these guys located in KS?  I work in Lawrence which is where they dropped off the head of their bike.

WOW!

These will be amazingly helpful in the next couple weeks.  Great walk-through and images on the carb portion.  Spectacular.

Thanks much.
