Can you identify this bike?

I'm considering moving on this if I can figure out what it is.  At first I thought it was Japanese but after some looking around I'm beginning to think otherwise?  Anyone have a clue?

It looks like a two stroke motor to me, if so that would rule out the dream

Yeah, thats what I think too. It could be a retrofit of a 2 stroke motor into a Honda frame...or maybe a Suzuki...but I couldn't find a pic match in my googling search  ???

Looks to be from the 60's era what ever it is.

It looks an awful lot like a Sears motorcycle that I had when I was a teenager. It was made by PUCH.

You know what, Peter? I think you've nailed it. My brother had the 106cc Sears bike, this looks like the 124cc bigger one they also sold, circa 1969-71. The 106 had a smaller, more rounded tank, the 124 was blockier, like this one.

Actually, it was a Puch, too. At least it was in 1969, when he bought it. When Sears bailed out of the parts business for it, we got points and such at the local (Chicago) Puch hole-in-the-wall dealer (a 3-car garage!).

And, yes, it was labelled "Allstate".  :D
Top speed with one rider: 54 MPH (laying flat on the tank), 58 indicated. Top speed with 2 riders: 36 MPH.

I think the You guys are on the right track with the Puch/Allstate notion, I'm not 100% I'm going to go for it.

Some of the other Sears cycles sold in the 60s were Benellis.  A 50 or 65cc jobbie...


And only a 125cc with all that massive finning??  Must be a tiny little piston way deep in there...   ;D
