What kind of oil do you use in that?

ACF-50 or Corrosion X

Didn't expect a serious answer?

from the looks of the gear leg, that is a late 60's 172, or possibly a 182, but the cabin looks too small for that. Did you reskin due to hail damage or corrosion? I sure miss flying those Skyhawks, just not enought to live in the lower 48.  ;)

Exactly...sorta like running without a chain guard! It's just unnecessary weight...

I would say more like the clutch.  Only really need them on start and stop. In this instance takeoffs and landings.

Flap bracket damage due to Piss poor maintenance/lack of service bulletin compliance.

Hey Tim. :) Haven't been around much myself and then I check in to find ACFT maint. :o Pretty cool though, you be sure to do a "Jam-up" job on that puppy cause we don't want you in a position to where you have some problems UP THERE. :o Not like you can just pull over, get out and walk, ya know. :(  You have some decent projects going, but I'm kinda missing the ol' Frankenbike AND that cool exhaust!

                                      Take care Tim, Bill ;)
