Is the breather cover originally painted?

Should the Master Cylinder be anodized black?

My 77CB550  master cylinder is black.  It looks similar to my 76 CB550.  I think that it is anodized too.
They do tend to fade.  I have seen where the sun has bleached it silver colored.

My 76 is painted silver! And I think the other is too!

Thanks very much. Mine is painted too, I just wasn't sure if it was originally painted.
