After enjoying project threats for a long time, I thought that I might as well give something back and do my own thread.

I'm 28 years old and live in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is my first motorbike and my first rebuild. As I am on my last year of college I'm on a pretty tight budget. Because of that I have decided to take my time with the project and therebuy spread out the expenses.

Okay...this is hoe the bike looked when I bought it in November 2008.









It had been sitting for the past 4 years and didn't run...the motor did turn though. I decided not to try and get it to run because I would take it all apart anyway. I plan on doing a "simple" rebuild of the motor. What that exactly means I'm not sure about yet   but it will depend on how much money I decide to spend on it.

Here are some more pictures of the bike home in my little workshop. My workshop is a few kilometers from my home at my parents place. I got two small rooms where they let my work on my bike. Its not much space but its okay as there is another workshop in the house with a lot of tools and stuff.

Okay...first thing to do after the tear down was to get the frame blasted. After that it looked like this:



After that I could get started on fixing the rust spots

It was my first time welding so I gues it turned out okay.

I decided on painting the frame myself. After a lot of searching and reading I went with por15 black. This is how the frame looked before painting just treated with Metal Ready which made the frame look all rusty again

I painted the frame in the beginning of April, but have recently decided to give it a wet sand and then some clear coat. Haven't done that yet but I bought some "Glisten PC-por15" clear coat and tested it on some smaller parts and it looks great and seems very strong.
