8)Hello All
To start off i have purchased a 75 cb 750k5 i think is the correct model number.Anyway it is all complete but has been sitting outside for 7 years rusting.Compression is good and with a little work and money it will be a great project. My first question is about the removal of the clutch basket retainer nut.The weird shaped one behind the cluth springs with the four slots in it.How in the heck do i remove this thing. One of my clutch spring bolts snapped of in the press plate during removal. Also when can i find a good parts source for nos oem parts? Thanks for any answers or suggestions in advance.

To remove the basket, you either need the special tool from Honda (I'd need to dig around for the part #...) or I've seen in some aftermarket manuals (Haynes) how to jerry-rig a tool for the job, but I've never tried it.
The answer to your second question (parts) lies in the FAQ section, but three sources I've had good luck with (We refer to these as the usual suspects..) are:
www.cmsnl.com
(Netherlands)
www.davidsilverspares.com
(UK)
www.westernhillshonda.com
(US)
Good luck!

The special tool is best for that funky nut, but I have "seen" one removed using the old Flathead-screwdriver-and-a-Hammer trick - NOT RECOMMENDED... but if youre in a pinch, it will do.
You're best off trying to make one like the manuals show.
