So, how are we going about watching Isle of Mann TT?
« on: May 26, 2009, 07:47:50 PM »
Bit-torrent probably has it.
Another forum suggested www.itv.com

Speed TV... no
ESPN... c'mon

I haven't got a television, but if it were on I could find one.

No  telly coverage of live racing that I’ve heard about here in the UK, but ITV4 will do a pre recorded one hour  show each day of race week from the Island as in previous years.

http://www.itv.com/Channels/ITV4/default.html

I’ll be watching all the action from a pub some place around the mountain course......can’t wait! 8)

Cheers.

Aren't Eurosport running it or Men and Motors? They normally do. I heard that Manx Radio is even charging to listen over the internet this year!! It's bad enough the Manx double all the prices for those two weeks when you're on the Island let alone do it for listeners in the rest of the world, sheesh!  ???

I’ve never really considered the prices on the Island as being excessive, slightly more expensive than the mainland admittedly but that’s to be expected but the prices are not even close to London prices or doing a BSB weekend! So for the extra cost of 10p a pint I get to watch some of the best road racing in the world for free, I think that’s a bargain.   ;D

The radio link cost 5 quid and contains a lot more information about the racing with video and so on via the net to a pc and is well worth it my opinion. I would be using it myself if I couldn’t make it to the Island, and the money it generates is used to finance the races and was the idea of Milky Quayle who now is the tourism minister. I read that TT fans who live to far away to attend the race's are more than happy with what they get for a fiver.  ;D

Cheers

I haven't seen that race in forever! (which is a lot longer than a number of you can imagine)  You see, back in the 1950's and early 1960's (I know, I'm telling my age), when I was in grade school and junior high, I used to get to go with my Dad, to the Golden Eagle Motorcycle Club meeting (when they would occassionally show films of the race). But I just seemed to get off track and haven't gotten back on. ::)

It’t not just one race....I won’t bother explaining the timetable, but I think the silent movies you got shown  never told the full story.  ;D

Listen to Manx radio FM it’s free  practice week/race week you will hear news and reports, the bike and racing stuff feed is on AM and costs  a fiver.
