Last week I got my project '77 CB750F back on the road after going through the brakes, swingarm, forks, steering stem, switches, alt/trans/clutch/pan gaskets/seals, clutch, etc. I did not remove the carbs because it seemed to start & idle just fine. Now that its on the road I've realized that a carb synchronization and idle mix adjustment might smooth out the idle a bit.
Last night I attempted to adjust the idle mixture using a small, short pocket screwdriver (stock carb/ airbox configuration). For reference, the idle mixture screw on these carbs is located on the bottom downstream from the slides, in front of the float bowls. I was successful in accessing the mixture screws for #1, 3, & 4 carbs but #2 was a no-go. I just didn't have enough room to fit my fat hand(s) in there to access the screw. It looks like I need something like a right angle screw driver. Any recommendations appreciated.
