Your threads may be OK, it sounds like you have grit/metal stuck on a portion of your thread...that is why you feel it every turn. Inspect & clean.

If you do end up stripped, do not use just any thread, try to finf somethine close in pitch size, or you may end up stripping out even easier than stock.

Would an M12 1.50 oversized bolt and washer do the trick?  Saw an oversized bolt at the local Autozone.

Sure, that could work.

Have you verified the problem is that the pan is stripped?

Finally had time to get into this a bit more.  I ended up ordering a 12mm x 1.50 single oversize oil drain bolt from CG Enterprises in BF Canada.  I did this after looking all over my little town to no good end.  Nonetheless, $3 and change plus about $.10 for the washer and $7 for shipping went out and two weeks (yes, weeks) later the bolt & washers arrived.

Easy in and snug.  No leaks, no troubles.  It literally took me at least 10 tens longer to ponder the fix than to try the oversized bolt.

Course now the problem is the flippin' weather here.  It has decided to skip fall and head directly into early winter conditions.  Someone even said they saw *snow.*

Sigh... at least that problem is taken care of... I hope.
