1978 CB 750K gas tank and earlier models???

Did a quick search and could find anything.  I gotta '78 CB 750K with a snotty gas tank.  Will a gas tank off any of the earlier model years fit my frame without major modification?

They will fit but there will probably be a gap between the tank and seat.
