I'm not familiar with your carbs and your link doesn't seem to work but being a jet yes there should be a hole. They must be clogged. Have you had them out of the carbs? You need to get in there with carb cleaner and a thin strand of copper wire. It's better to soak them before trying to clean them. Compressed air will help too.

The bike in the avatar looks like Rob Lloyd's bike.

The slow jets should have a hole in them.  It's about a .016 inch restrictor near the base of it.  Try not to modify the hole dimensions.

Yeah The bike is not mine but it is my insperation for the 550 i just picked up
The carbs are off and soaking   I just thought it strange all four would be clogged  so i started to question if i should be siting out in the cold with a piece of wire  trying to work it thru the brass  you know
Any way thanks for the reply I now know what i have to do today
And if the owner of my avatar wants me to remove it i will with no prblems I dont mean to imply it is mine
It is just a beautiful bike

When I went through the carbs on my 78 550 3 of the 4 were plugged.  I had soaked them twice before trying to blow air and nothing worked.  Eventually I took a piece of wire and pulled out a single strand of copper wire from it and worked them clean, going back and forth with wire and carb cleaner, tedious process but worked very well.  I pulled the slow jets out on mine before doing it.
