Aloha,
I just got a low mileage, one owner, CB500K0 back on the road after 15 years of being stored. Sure, did the usual carb cleaning, fluid change, timeing, etc. Start right up, idles smooth and revs to the moon. However, last night was the first time to get it on the road. After a brief warmup ( its been in the low 80'F, here
) I snicker into gear and off we go.
Everything sounds and feels good until.... the kickstarter lever whips back and hits me in the leg. Ouch! I noticed that the lever will spin until it hits the footpeg and then whips back. All of this when the clutch engages.
Has to be clutch realted, eh?
Any ideas of what the problem may be?
