The bags mount with four bolts through the bag into the rack. Nothing someone coundn't fabricate.

Thanks for the close up! I didn't realize there was such a "jungle gym" needed to hold the cases -- I had assumed the frames to be smaller and more inconspicuous from your avatar -- I may just go with soft cases as the hassle factor and price seem to favor them. Not to mention availability ...

no prob, you could build a rack that wasn't quite so complex if you didn't want the top rack and back rest. Just have to have another mount point on the bike somewhere.
