I Am About Ready To Drop Kick Someone This Is Not A Joke!
« on: July 08, 2009, 04:44:15 PM »

You see, Brenda and I have worked with a young man for quite some time now and helped him to get away from his mother, who was using his SS check for the wrong things along with now taking care of her son. When the young man reached legal age of being his own guardian, we helped him do what HE wanted to do! She liked to have had a hemorage over it. Called the Police on us, not once but twice! Up until that point, I had NEVER had that done to me! Now, that Brenda is gone and she has him for a few days, she can wrangle around and get him convinced to stay with her and she will then try to get his money AGAIN! I am so MAD that I could bite nails into! I finally managed to keep my cool enough to get her to agree to let me have some one on one time with him. I guarantee you that she thinks that because Brenda is gone, she can move in on him and take over AGAIN! And, as long as I have anything to say about it, IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!!!!!!

The rant isn't over, but that's all for now!

Pray that I don't "drop kick" her.

Bill, if he's of legal age, and of sound mind, the law will allow him to make this terrible mistake.

Just let him know that what you think he's doing is a mistake, and let him know that when this crap falls apart for him, you'll still be his friend and help him in what ways you can when he needs it.
No.

Looks like very sound advise. I would think that's really all you can do.

Bill, I would have to agree with the other guys. Once he is of legal age there is little you can do other than talk to him.

I know what you all are saying and, even though I'd like to give HER a swift kick, I won't! Bost is aware that things aren't exactly right and check this out, I was prepared to give her $50 cause she was asking if he had any spending money left. She was supposed to come by for that and never showed. I went to her apartment, looked around town (Greenwood's not that big) and even checked where her exhusband lives and she has apparently taken off. She knew that, if I had some time with James, he would go back with me and work back into the routine. Damn, why didn't I see this coming? I have NEVER trusted her. She has a history like you might not believe. Brenda was hoping that she was really making a decent life for herself again and I just could not believe it, myself. I would think about what Brenda used to say, "A Leopard doesn't change it's spots!" Well, looks like all I can do, at this point, is let the lady at Bost know what has happened and hope AND PRAY for the best.

Now, this one would be a good match for DAVID! Both are just about as "Low Down"! :P

Bill, with the other things that are going on in your life you do not need any more on your plate. Gettting yourself in legal problems is not going to help anyone, and your Dougherter need you more now than ever. My Brother klived with me when he was in Med School. Later he was working in the ER and a little girl was hit by a car. Word spread and the top specialists all converged on th ER to lend a hand. Against all thier skills and technology she passed away. My Brother being new was devastated and the older Docs around him were upset. The Cheif of Surgery who was a mean pompous bastard came over to him and said, "I know it hurts, but we just cannot save them all."

Bill, you cannot save them all. Save who you can and pray for the rest.

I know what you all are saying, is true. It really kills me about what she is doing, because:

Brenda had worked with him AND the other young man that we work with (in one way or another), since kindergarten. I've worked with James for about half of his life now, myself. We took care of James more than his mother has, for the last 10yrs. When he became 18yrs old, he began doing "Alternate Living" with us, meaning that his residence was here and a portion of the house payment was paid by him (through Bost, who is his direct payee). I am not trying to pay us on the back or anything of the sort, but if we were to get back pay for what we have put out (over and above what was expected), I would not even have to SEE him for at least 4 or 5yrs!

I've got more to say, but I have to get going. Got that meeting to get to. I'm just trying to fill you all in on the history of us and James.

                                     Thanks for listening,  bill

Can't do much without a lawyer, but might ithelp to talk to a Family Court judge yourself?  I wonder because if he was 100%, he wouldn't be getting checks- right?

OTOH- is living with his mother actually causing him any problems?

Well, I have talked with some of the powers to be at Bost and I have been assured that everything WILL be taken care of and I have no worries. ;)  That is a load off! I could just SEE him going off with his mother! ::) If she was so good, we'd never have had to helped him get away from HER in the 1st place. I mean, she also has a criminal record! We had to go to a local Police Dept in OK. once to get him because she was going to JAIL! Now, that is NOT the kind of woman that he needs to spend much time around (he was abused mentally, emotionally and Some physical also. He (and his 2 little brothers, along with his sister were put in the hospital one morning (with her) because she tried to cross 4 lanes of traffic on a major hwy during morning school and work traffic. Got broadsided by a large truck. She could have crossed at an intersection with a traffic light and passed that up, to try and cross where there was no light. He now has a pin (about 6 - 8" long) in his right upper arm. I know more about this, but I hesitate to say it.

I'm on this band wagon because HE needs someone who isn't out to better themselves and even if I didn't feel that way, Brenda DID and that alone, is good enough for me.

Oh well, I'm off of my "soap box" for now. Like I said, I've been reassured that he WILL be taken care of and things will be okay. This thing popping up the way it did, could have been the straw.

G'Day Bill, I hope you don't mind me asking, but with Brenda gone now, will that have an affect on your Bost carer status? Are Bost happy to have just one carer in a house? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Terry, Nope, Doesn't matter to them if one or two  work for them. In fact, they are behind me, at least, 200%. ;)  They are doing what they can to help me adjust also. Giving me some slack on deadlines, etc. Ironically, Brenda and I had been with them for 10years, as of the 1st Day of July. Brenda JUST made the 10 years (since she died on the 1st of July). And they handed out the 10yr certificites today at the staff meeting (only they had pulled Brenda's out because they were being considerate of my feelings. I asked if I could have it though and they said they would get it to me.

                                  Take care, Bill ;)
