CB350F engine gasket kits?
« on: July 14, 2009, 07:41:33 AM »
Hello,
I'm in need of a complete engine gasket kit for a rebuild on my '73 CB350F and was wondering if anyone could recommend where to locate a genuine honda complete kit.  If not available does anyone know if Athena's quality is any good? They seem readily available from the oldbikebarn.  Any thoughts appreciated.

thanks

Hi There

Have you tried David Silver spares UK, they stock the largest range of genuine
Honda 350, 400 spares.

DO NOT order from oldbikebarn:

Genuine Honda gaskets seem to be the best. Complete sets show up on ebay once in a while, might even be one on therenow.

Someone just posted about finding a set somewhere..  One of the "regular" 350F crowd...  mattcb350F?

"Cycle Recycle" the name of the place?  Whoever bought it said there was none listed in stock but they had them...

Thanks for the tip on cycle-recycle @ www.crc2onlinecatalog.com & www.davidsilverspares.co.uk.

I've been given the option to replace my gaskets and get into a possible rebuild, although the bike runs well but leaks, or consider swapping out to a 400F engine.  I like the idea of a bit more power and understand that the 400F is an overall better engine.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

I've heard of guys bolting them right in but a member here made a comment about the bottom end being wider and the pegs (or was it the gearshifter) being a potential problem.  There is also a post here that discusses a 350F top end on a 400F bottom end.  I'm thinking about it too.  I have lots of 350F engine parts and a locked up 400F motor...
