Other than some moisture on Thurs. & Sat I put this year's VMD as a major success. Many thanks to Steve Swan for inviting the sohc4 group to join the SOOC forum members in their booth. Got to meet face to face with some of the members of this forum that stopped by.  I will post a list of all who stopped by later today

Just got back from a very fun weekend at Mid-Ohio.  Friday was mostly rain free.  Saturday was a little soggy but cleared up in the evening.  Sunday morning was beautiful.  I met several of the forum members. It was a great pleasure to be in the presents of very knowledgeable people that know the CB750's inside and out.  If you've never been, you must go next year. It’s a great experience.  My CB750k survived the 250 mile trek without any problems

Special thanks to "cxtex" (Mike) for the coffee and providing me a place to sit the rain out.

Great job on the reincarnation there! One of the best documented rebuilds I've seen.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Well, I would very much like to post all the wonderful photos that I took with my expensive digital camera over the four days that I was there, but on Sunday my camera grew two legs and decided to walk off along with the SD card that had all my pics in it...so sorry, I can't help there now. I can only hope that others that took some pics will post them.

The people who signed in on our list were.....
CXTECS
VolkswagenDan
CrabbyJay
Clutch Cargo
Imamotohead
KEITHS
philjimpot
CB750Fbomb
Spanner 1
portnoy
js550
Old Scrambler

on sunday

Diamondd

There were a lot of very very nice bikes that our members brought to the event.  KUDOS to all.

And to top it all off....We got to talk and listen to Bob Hansen & Bob Jameson & Mark McGrew and hear all about the start and development of the Honda CB750....What a treat that was. I recorded their talk in the tower and plan to turn it into a DVD for the sandcast group SOOC. They are also giving me a copy of their power point presentation which I will try to incorporate into the DVD. Will keep you all informed as to the progress.

I got back at 12:15PM. My 400f did admirably during the over 7 hours of riding this weekend. The rain seemed to lower the turnout some. But these folks are die-hard motorcycle nuts. I had a great time and never can I seem to take in all that there is to see. I stayed dry and slept well. Can't wait to return.

I met CXTECS-Mike, philjimpot-Jim, and myhondas-Ray plus a few other folks and everyone was great. I called and txted volkswagendan and never heard back :( Spanner1-Ray and I had a lot of fun, drank a lot of beer and ate a lot of junk food. The SOHC/SOOC tent had a drool factor of 85416161321015153478765165 and the CBX side of the tent was bad ass as well. I acquired a prize winning sunburn. The races were awesome.... I could keep going. I will never see so many Trail 70's in one place again for the rest of my life. I'll stop with the list or it will keep going

I was there on Sunday and put my name and other info on a piece of paper because the sign up sheet wasn't there. Loved the Sandcasts bikes there and learned alot about them. Got to met Vic World and went to his seminar. Wish I could afforded one of his masterpieces. I guess I going to have to buy more tickets the ama is selling of his sandcast they are raffling.

It was nice to meet you Ray, sorry I didn't make the beer later that day! Great to hear your camera is being returned. And speaking of cell dying, (VWDan) mine was done by the afternoon too. Not only that,my buddy I went with, his was almost dead when we left & the GPS battery almost went on us! wtf? Ohio conspiracy to keep people or what!

;D ;D ;D OF COURSE....we are trying to corner the market on sohc4's.....make them come to our gatherings and get them blasted on brew...ouch...bike breakdown....go home by greyhound...  market cornered ;D ;D
Hey maybe next year we will have a more organized beer / bs session. Maybe combine with the VJMC booth and their brat night cookout.
Jim, the pleasure was all mine. plan now for next year..get a bunch of mi guys to ride down with and all. unless I get my tent back..I will either sleep in the bike trailer or bring a motorhome.

Great Pictures.  Sorry I couldn't make it.  I could only get together with my buddies that week for our annual trip and we ended going down throught the Smoky's and hit Deals Gap, Sky Line Drive etc... Put 1300 miles on my 77 CB750 over the 5 days.

Myhondas...thanks for posting the pics.  It was nice to see what it was like.  Hope you met a lot of nice people (on Hondas).  I really wanted to go...would have been my first time... but these are my servitude years and family comes first.  Thanks again!
