Help with parts
« on: July 18, 2009, 05:06:16 AM »
Hi all, My MOT(anual inspection) man has aquired a 1968 Honda SS125A in need of loving care and parts does anybody have anything for one of these and would anyone be prepared to act as "postbox" if he finds stuff on the US ebay site?

I looked it up on the US Ebay site.

http://motors.shop.ebay.com/eBay-Motors_?_nkw=honda+ss125+a&_sacat=6000&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_rdc=1

It seems there are a lot of parts out there for it.

I'll take a look on craigslist too. Is this a scooter or motorcycle?

125 twin cylinder motorcycle with pressed steel frame similar to the cb92, we did find lots on ebay but we need a nice person in the US who will accept and re-post the parcels

OK.

I don't know why you need to ship it twice, but I have dealt with shipping to UK and Europe before.

The reason for double shipping is that USPS now only does airmail so it might be nice to get a bigger parcel consolidated and sent via UPS but they take EVERYTHING from a comercial supplier through customs (but not privat parcels!!!!)

I'm willing to help out if this is just the occasional part, not a business.

I've shipped to England, Wales, and Ireland before. It's not a quick trip via surface(that is, by ship). It takes about four or five weeks.
Air is obviously pretty expensive.

Hi Bryan, I have had parts shipped from the US in the past by airmail at reasonable rates, I will be back over there in October if the parts are not too big/heavy I may be able to bring them back then.
