That's awesome!  I've never seen anything like it. :)  Does he do any other glass, or just marbles?

Wow, that's really cool.

Had to laugh when I read the thread title - every rattle spray paint can I ever emptied, I cut open and keep the glass marble inside.  I've got about a coffee-can-ful nowadays.   ;D

Nice!

I have a similar collection of old spark plugs.  Can't seem to throw the damn things away for some reason.

If you dont want to make them yourself, I have a turret lathe.
 Looks like a 1.00 to 1.50 part @ 100 pcs. ..unpolished.

Once I do a run, might be able to shave the price.

 1 inch stock looks like?

thanks for the offer, its not that i dont want to make them its just that i dont own a lathe, im lucky enough to have a friend who owns a small machine shop and will let me have some machine time pretty much whenever i want but i dont want to wear out my welcome.
out of curiosity what would you charge to do a hundred pieces ? they are about 1.375" dia and 1.25 tall

Oohh a bit bigger than I thought.. still near those prices, I am thinking.

Is there a hole in them partly thru, so the marble sits on the lip?
