That's a damn good point IC, like a certain 26 year old who's seemingly stiffing people on fuse boxes...have you ever tried to have a serious question answered by that guy? Jeez that ignore button looks mighty inviting sometimes with some members... but I digress.

As the starter of the thread I give you carte blanche! Lord knows I will have more probs with this house (oh yeah the pool started leaking again and is actually lifting the liner badly in spots).

I'd burn the place down for the insurance money but with all the water probs I am betting this damn place won't burn!

I used seal-all on the bottom of my pool, it cures underwater!

Was the seller up-front with problems regarding the house? I don't know anything about the real estate but if the seller isn't honest, aren't they liable?

I don't know about that.  It would be next to impossible to prove that the seller knew about any particular problem, not to mention proving that they intentionally tried to hide said problem from potential buyers.  Besides, any buyer has the option to get a 3rd party inspection before committing to a purchase. 

You buy a house, you also buy all of the problems that come with it.  I know this better than I ever wanted to, being the owner of a 60 year old house.

Well the place was about a step away from foreclosure. In fact we had to wait 3 extra days to get possession and it almost didn't go through due to all of the liens on the property.

I talked to my lawyer and agent but they both said I could fight it but the chances of seeing a dime are next to none!
