Order parts go on front axle?
« on: June 15, 2012, 08:32:45 AM »
Let me introduce myself quick, long time lurker but first time poster.

I have a '76 cb750k that I'm currently working on doing the goldwing front on.  I'm about to assemble but wanted to make sure I have the order correct on the order things go on the front axle. (like: axle -> speedo gear -> wheel ->spacer..). I think I've accumulated everything i need for the swap. 75 stem and triple, new tapered bearings for 75 gl/cb, 77 forks, 76 calipers and rotors, 76 axle and spacers, 76 speedo unit, aftermarket dual disk master for super bike bars, new caliper seal for both. Think i just need some longer bolts to mount the dual disks to my 76 spoke rim and what ever bolt size i need from the caliper brackets to the fork mount holes.

Thank you in advanced and any help or pointers is greatly appreciated.

Howdy Slate! :)

Until someone comes along who can answer your question for directly there's a ton of info here about doing a GW fork swap.
Just use the Google Custom Search box above and search for "goldwing fork swap".

Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

haha, thanks. i have read about every thread (in multiple) on the subject but i just cant find a straight forward lineup on the front axle. most threads just say bolt on but since i'm going from all separate parts and didn't get to take it apart to see how it goes, im kinda in the dark. thanks again!!

also if someone can direct me (by part number on the baggy) how the all balls 2011 kit goes on top to bottom. again, didn't have anything to go off of, i know i need to use the small spacer on the bottom but as far as which race goes where im a little lost.
