Stupid question about cables
« on: October 06, 2014, 08:46:54 AM »
What is the actual difference between the tach and speedo cables on 750's? I'm trying to decide which one I have so I can order the other one but near as I can tell they're exactly the same except maybe for some outer sheeting or something.

Can someone clarify this for me?

Thanks,
Rav

Speedo cable much longer than tach.

Sure, just go ahead and reply while I'm typing MC. haha

The good one I have is the speedo cable, then. It's 39" long. The junk ones in my garbage can are both 24" long or so. So that means I need a tach cable.

Strangely, the ones I have in my cart at DCC (which I started making months ago when I first got the bike) are both 27" long. Good thing I asked and measured.
