French Cable Museum--Orleans, Mass.
« on: September 08, 2009, 08:42:13 AM »
--With drone accompanyment.
When Lindbergh landed in France, a message was sent via undersea cable to
this building in Orleans, Mass.
The person receiving the message ran down the street to where
a baseball game was taking place and announced the news over the loud speaker.
-these baseball fans were the first folks in the U.S. to hear the news!

I think I need one too.--need to put in an 880 line though.
If you really need to fill up a room
how about a nice used Corliss machine ?

I used to wire broadcast transmitters in the late 80's, it's funny that things really didn't change all that much in the next 40 years with that technology.
