greg, thats why i hope the renewal of the patriot act gets voted down

Me too, but with politicians as gutless as they are, I don't hold much hope.

That's why the bastards named it the "Patriot Act"!
Anyone who is against it MUST BE anti-American -- right?
Any politician who has the balls to do the right thing and stand up to vote against it will surely find himself branded as unpatriotic (by his opponent) come next election.

Isn't politics just wonderful?

I AM MUCH MORE AFRAID OF HOMELAND SECURITY THAN I AM OF ANY #$%*IN' FOREIGN TERRORIST!!!!!!!
(sorry SteveD but that's the way I feel)

Why does everybody think I'm a censor..?     I'm so misunderstood  :(

I'm sorry Steve, I didn't mean to make you feel bad!!

I just though that you occasionally had a problem with my wording when I am feeling a little outraged!  :-\

Sad thing about all this is that it seems to be happening almost everywhere. Too many people do not stand up and fight these problems. No one contacts their congressmen any more so these people in power think that they can do what they want.

This homeland security does not good and has not stopped anything. It is like outlawing guns. Only law-abiding citizens are affected. Crimnals will get what they want, its called the black market. Unfortuneatly our government is becoming nothing but crooks. But history will happen again and revolts will start and people will die and a new government will end up arising to do the same thing in another couple hundred years.
It would be nice if we all could avoid this though. I guess we will see how things go once bush's term is up. If we have another terror attack, he can use a clause of somekind I think to stay in office. That will give me all the answer I need.

This reminds me of a few years back.. A guy got screwed on Ebay.. the guy MOVED to get away from people he had screwed on Ebay and from revenue collectors.. Using a database that I had access to at work... I was able to find out the NEW address for the guy who was screwing people and the guy who got screwed filed charges with the FBI on the guy.. goes to show that anyone can get anything with enough $$$$

using that data base.. I could tell every address you ever lived at.. last 4 digits of your social, your wifes name, longitude and latitude of their house, home value, average annual income, home phone number, last year you filed tax returns, and how many kids you have..

Scary huh???? available to anyone who was willing to pay $1500 a month for the service.. many state and governmental agencies use it but it is available to businesses and individuals also...

It is difficult to imagine just how far the misuse of such information could go. You are correct, scary is the only way to describe it. Wait until they incorporate all the totally irrelevant information they want into the drivers license system. I'll bet that database will become even more interesting then.  :(

Hey Dusty, I found what looks like a good CB350 speedo or tach (can't remember which but I'll check it tonight) in a box full of 750 stuff last night, if you want it, it's yours. Cheers, Terry.  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

BLAH BLAH BLAH  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( !!!!!

Terry
my friend
my fellow cheese food junkie
Your original post is so correct it is not funny. We call it "Homeland Insecurity". After the whole terrorist thingy I ran an add in the local paper. "Attention, Code Magenta!" "Senior Portraits are due!". Most of the locals thought this was hilarious except for the Marine recruiters office who could not read the 6 inch letters on the door of my car and the 3 inch letters on the truck (boot) lid.

After all if a car was doing something that you thought was suspicious would you not watch it drive away? MMMMMM. Funny how the missed the web address on the back of the car  :-\

Just give the dumb ones guns and we will all be safe  :-[
And this is said by one who has sucessfully complete USMC Scout Sniper training.

My father drives a Harley. He's Republican, I'm a bit of everything else. Occasionally I can get him to make disparaging remarks (re: president, never HD), but he'll never go on record.   :D
