Replacing front wheel on 1979 CB650
« on: August 30, 2009, 12:33:09 PM »
Hi all,

I've been searching to find out what my options are in replacing the front wheel (Comstar rim) on my 79 CB650. My wheel is slightly bent and needs to go. I've replaced and fixed almost everything else on this bike, it runs great, and I'm soooo close except for this wheel.

I see that an 81 cb650 C has two rotors. If I just took one rotor off, would the wheel fit? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
David

Not sure if you ever figured this problem out, but I have a spare wheel if you're still in the market

You need to stick with a single disk wheel for the easiest bolt on.
18 grand and 18 miles dont make you a biker

Hey! Yes, I am still in the market if you still have it. I've been ignoring the problem and riding my other bike for a couple of weeks, occasionally looking at ebay. Do you have the brake rotor, too? I think mine is ever so slightly tweaked also and wouldn't mind replacing it.
