muffler/silencer exhaust insert

dunno if this be the right place but i found an item in my hot rod circles. it's a silencer insert and seems to come in sizes and types applicable to bikes.

SO pricey!!!  i made some from a single baffle by cutting it in half and tacking a fender washer on.  sounded like crap though...
