Savannah, Georgia anyone down there
« on: September 27, 2009, 06:13:47 PM »
Hey, there is a VFR 1000 86 model year in Savannah that has a bit of engine noise.
We're interested in it. But would like to find someone that could give an educated listen
to it. Anyone in the area on here?

Im 30 minutes away. Beta 1082 is down there. Seems like that guy in the video has a mechanics shirt on. If it was an easy fix wouldnt he do it? I dont think im educated enough to judge whats wrong with it but it does look nice. Good luck.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

that's the one, seems the noise could be as simple as an exhaust leak but
as you said, if that simple looks like he would have found the problem.

It's very dificult to tell Rob, a lot of cheapo cameras and cell phones can play tricks on the ear, might be nothing wrong but if you can get someone to check it out, all the better.

Didn't these things also have a cam issue? I chased this soft cam deal around on a VF500F and if that's the problem steer clear.

If you get someone close by have them use a stethoscope or a long screwdriver on that part of the head.

Nice shape though.

hey Bwaller, supposedly the VF1000 didn't have any problems but the 750's and the 500's did.

Hey Rocking M, get on the Honda V4 bbs, http://hondabbs.com for more info.  I know my buddy Cal put an oil mod on his V65.
