CB750 K2 fuel tank question
« on: October 07, 2009, 12:40:52 AM »
I'm looking for a new (er) fuel tank than the dented one I now have. But in my search, I've seen 750 tanks that have the petcock on the right, and others on the left.

Which is correct for a K2? The left side "feels" correct, but parts manuals show it on the right.

Also, did the K2s have a locking gas cap, or just a pop up type?

Thanks for any info.

K2 tank came with petcock on the right. They changed to the left side post-74. The K2 did not have a locking gas cap but a recall in that year put locks on man K2 gas tanks.

You can still use a post-74 tank on your bike though. Just different routing of gas lines.

good luck!
Cheers
Andy
