400f master cylinder questions...
« on: October 11, 2009, 11:53:57 AM »
Well, this is my first m/c rebuild; the bike came with all of the disassembly done as far as I can tell, the hole at the end seems empty. Can I just put this stuff together and be good to go? Sorry to be so vague, it seems like it will be too easy and I'm missing something.

As well as it's good and clean, put the parts in and do a bench bleed to help get the flow of fluid started. Just put a little fluid in once the MC is back on the bike and put your finger over the hole before you put the banjo bolt on. Pump the lever and you should build pressure against your finger and get fluid around your finger. USE A TOWEL AND DON'T LET ANY FLUID GET ON ANYTHING!
