Well, I thought I had it awhile ago but I stepped away and now here I am again trying to figure this out. I searched and read everything I can find but I still run my battery dry.

So I pulled my Stator and field coil out to do some tests. The 3 leads from the stator all have continuity to 1 another and not to the case. Thats a plus

Not sure how to check the field coil. It checks out at 7.4 ohms between white and green. Which I actually cant tell which  is which cause they are both washed out to dirty blackened color. Is there a way to test and see?

I also have redone all of the wiring as this was a complete basket case , i also added a Ricks reg rec combo. Does anyone have a schematic for the wiring on this. I have no oem harnesses on my bike so color coding does not help. I have searched and found several different topics on similar problems and none of them have any real consistant answers. I figure my mess is a bit different than most. I really appreciate any help in you have any help to offer

When I pulled the system apart I noticed one of the bare copper wires that turn into a lead was really close if not touching the engine cover. I wonder if that had anything to do with my multimeter wiggin out while the bike is running?

Plus after I had it in better light, it seems I may have it wired up ass backwards. It's hard to tell. But it looks like I had the ground from the rotor mistaken for the power. Looking at the cloth wrap around the wires, one looks like it may be more green than black.

One more question, I have a small amount of oil in my stator case. Enough to coat everything in it pretty good, but it wasn't running out when I pulled the cover off. Do I have a bad seal or is it supposed to be like this?
