Yeah, the 2010 lineup is a little... odd. If you want to attract young, new riders, adding a third wheel to your bikes is probably not the best move.
They brought back the Wide Glide, but got rid of the Low Rider. I think the Dyna models are probably their best hope at this point, but they don't seem to know what to do with them. I guess the Softtails bring in more money, but those days are probably over. Sorry guys, no one likes the Rocker.
I think the most interesting bikes are in the Sportster family - the Iron 883 and Nightster are both good looking bikes, and the XR1200 is downright cool. But they have a stigma about them of being "chick bikes" (the V-Rods have a related problem), and I don't know why H-D has so little control over their brand. Don't they have a-holes in suits to handle the marketing? Are they really going to let a bunch of RUBs sh*t on an entire line of their motorcycles?
The real problem, though, is price - is anyone really in the market for a $16000 motorcycle these days? Especially now, when the re-sale market is favoring buyers as much as it is - why go to a showroom and pay $10k more than you have to for essentially the same bike?
