Frank, you spot on,as usual! I'm trying springs first, then pilots.Plugs real sooty @ Greer with 40's below 2000 rpm. Man I'm a BBQ connoisseur, was fixing a BIG plate of pig and collard greens when they called 2nd round! >:( 8)
I agree with you on the run with Gladys, she won it,........against Greer bike another story?Billy Bobby says you ain't moving when you missing!!!
We'll fix ALL new issues and make it work.Take note of run 1 and 4, close. All 4 like that Sam has a consistent.......slower bike. :(
Personally,I want to run 12's,not 13.2's. I think we will still! Fix it Billy B.........The kids wants too ride!! ;) ;D
Frank,just bring 2 plates next time!!!! ;D
Off to labor on Labor Day! ;) Bill

After being cut off from civilisation for a few days I have a lot of catching up to do.
Will try to reply to all PMs in morning or later tonight.
Talk about disasters :( I didn't hear about the hurricane battering the southern states untill late last night, hope all are safe.
Team US, don't worry, it's not as if you can do a mod then ride it down the road to see if it works, I've been in the same predicament many times only to find out it was a silly little thing that was causing major problems, I'm sure it will be figured eventually. (have you still got that broken drill bit Jimmy ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D )
Even The Finish Drag Bike Finals started with a disaster. It was just like England.  It rained all day Friday and each time it stopped, the track crew dried it only for it to start raining again. >:( >:( >:( >:(
See the Juha Leino thread for what happened next.

Regards to all Sam. ;)

Yes,was going to modify this winter.Maybe sooner.................Drum roll please!
Springs are switched, plugs looked lots better with the 30's........Slides now go up when blipping throttle no load..and not too high.
Load against brake can play w/throttle,no miss, spit or sputter..Ms. Gladys another run please!
Didn't move the needle but felt much more right(like @ Greer).I think we hitting 2900rpm,tach starts @ 3000 rpm...getting big face tach ,starts @ 0 rpm
we'll know exactly. Feel much better, whew,I was a little worried. I think we'll be just fine.
I think I'lll go have a shot of apple pie homemade moonshine, might give Samauto a shot!!!!! Bill

Who won,how you and Curtis do?

Andy Lynch won on Craig Speers ZX14. Rodney Gantt was runner up on the Red Kaw dragbike. Curtis went out 3rd round and so did i.

Overall a good day for the family/friends cookout and a great day for racing.

Thanks so much for joining us. Everyone enjoyed watching the Honda run.

Had a terrific time Sat. Big thanks to all. Great to see you again, Bill, sorry not to say goodbye  to you and Dave (did I get that right?) before ya'll left. Had to concentrate on learning my duties as crewmember to FrankenJohn and Gladys. I was there to help, not hinder.
Did you find out if weather meter I brought was the same as the one you'll be using or different?
Glad to hear positive result to spring change. You have a tough job getting on top of the tuning for the cam change, but you are more than capable and am sending as much positive energy your way as I can muster. That's about all the help I can give you, as motor burns almost NO oil with fuel and has one camshaft too many....

The altimeter malfunctioned and I wasn't sure if it would affect the relative air density reading which changes with altitude so I sent it back. >:(

 recently-lol.

Buy direct from mfg. : www.kestrel-direct.com
Check out models 4000 (the one I have) and higher, especially new racing oriented mod. 4250. Highly recommend optional tripod stand.
I don't know how to post links, but I DO know Lancelot Link.

Bill and I talked about going to Commerce this weekend for test and tune
We don't think the dyno will tell us anything that we cant find out at the track
the carbs are jetted about as good as they are going to get although we are getting in to some cooler weather
but we can raise the needles one clip and be were we where last spring.
I need to go to livingood motor sports for some more 4.4 race gas and
talk to Bill this week but I am sure that we will get to the track this weekend
I or Bill will keep you posted

I think this is the last points race at Commerce for the season so it would be a good time to test there under race conditions for the 1/4 mile. Look for either Don Chavous ( yellow GS 1100 no bar bike) or Paul Cavanaugh ( Hayabusa). Tell them i said to take care of you guys-lol.

We have our last points race at Orangeburg on saturday or we would come up to hang out with you and Bill. Good luck.
