Or a better Shinko DOT rear tire?

Jon,
The bike has a new Mickey Thompson shootout tire on it now. That's what so surprising about the bike spinning. I've successfully run these tires on other bikes before without issue of hooking even with no burnout. I'm shocking the clutch too hard now I guess and my rear shocks need replacing. Those 2 combinations don't help at all. I'll get more seat time by the end of the season and figure this new set up out. I predict 10.50's in the future once I get my 60' back to the high 1.40's.  Its been 10.60's on the heavier package and the slick.

There were some pretty abysmal reaction times from some of the racers.
On my 12.183 pass, I cut a .022 light to my opponents .363 effort but I still broke out, what a waste of a good RT. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

We don't want the adrenaline to return to normal until we get you hyped up about coming back again. Strike while its hot so to speak.

Take a darn count of how many people either drove down or flew into that race in Bradenton, Sam Green. None of that would have happened without YOU!! Hell, i busted my balls trying to get my SOHC ready just because you came back over here and i wanted to show support to the team. Granted i didn't do worth 2 cents but i was there and you made it happen. How about all of the stateside and international posts enquiring on your status?? I bet this topic was viewed hundreds of times while you were down in Bradenton just waiting for updates. Lets not have you disappoint the SOHC forum by dropping out of the scene.

Don't get the band together just to throw your horn into the lake when the gig is over. We got a lot more gigs to play before we smash the axes or hang em on the wall to collect dust. I still hear the drums beating in the background someplace. Lol.

One more for Sam's time trial Saturday morning?

The upper midrange of the bike is much better than before. Ring sealing really helped that bike. ;)

Great Report :) :)

Sounds as if a K8 shifter-drum and a little more time to get the feel of the rear tire could get you under 10.6 8) 8) 8)

Old Scrambler,

Give me some details on why its better to use the K8 drum. I'm not familiar with this swap. I definitely can use any advice you or anyone else can throw at me on this mis-shifting issue. I had the tranny undercut and replace a few of the shift forks thinking it would solve my problem but it didn't. I failed to replace the drum because i didn't see anything wrong with it at the time. I've got to get this taken care of before next race season- consistency is the name of the game in bracket race and erratic shifts just don't cut it.

Crap!!! 226????? At least i got my name on the board in street ET- didn't think i'd have the old Honda ready for this race. Sam and Bill made me do it!!

Bob Carlson also won Crazy 8's on sunday. He beat me first round in a close race. I did manage to finish the year in the top ten(10) in the other 2 classes. In Crazy 8's  i was #10 and in top gas i finished at #9. I missed one race- dang it.

I did check on that guy that red lighted against me. I contacted Manny to refresh my memory of who it was he warned me about that tries to mess with peoples heads on the lights (not that it matters as every pass is just a time trial) JW ;) and it was Bob Carlton who won the Saturday race.
