« on: December 15, 2009, 06:52:09 pm »
found some threads but seem to be alittle old. mine are sittin on the bench waiting for the rest of my frame mods and powdercoat. die-in just to know how well they work. mine will not be on the road till spring or the best day in the end of feb or apr. cyclex.. small on size, big on knowledge, great on info, hadda call a couple of times about my order but it did pertain quite a few items. just really like to know some success stories right now

are you planning on trying to fit the dual carbs on a stock frame with a stock type gas tank?

That carb kit won't fit on a stock frame.

carbs are on now. they certainly look cool. had to mod the frame a bit and add gussets so the trottle cables had room and ill just have to ping in the tank a slight bit for the cables as well. the next prob to overcome will be fitting the velosity stacks which ive a real cool idea for. try to post pics when i get it atleast mocked in.<a href="http://s828.photobucket.com/albums/zz207/aryanbarbarian1/stray%20cat%20build/?action=view&current=lastbike003.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/zz207/aryanbarbarian1/stray%20cat%20build/lastbike003.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket">[/url]

That power arc is amazing I posted a basic how to install it the other day. Are you doing any big engine mods? If you put in a lot more fuel you will need to advance the system which is easily done by grounding the blue and/or brown grounding wires.

As I said in my other post I had a fire in my airfilters. The problem was I heavily mod'd my motor and my cb550f is now accurately jetted to 137.5 and I started the bike in the stock advance curve and I it was no where near right for my bike. Popping and Flame everywhere except idle. I grounded both wires and the thing runs like a dream.

glad to here its what they claim! no big mods on the motor, just a street cam and a wiseco 811 piston kit (when i find a mechinist to do that part) the little local shop dont have the right tool to bore it. any idea what i can expect to spend for the bore?

I paid 50 bucks for my honing so I would say a hundred to a hundred and twenty. That's in Florida though. labor is a little cheaper  here than in most places.

A proper bore and hone to correct finish is approx $40.00-$50.00  per hole.
