Could a '77 750 be used as a parts bike for a '75?

Hi,
there's a non-running 750 K7 on Craigslist for $400. The pipes look pretty good, and a few other parts as well. I was wondering how much overlap there is, part-wise, between a K7 and a K5.
Thanks

Been there and done that but I wouldn't do it again. Allot of parts are interchangeable but I would have been better off to continue my search for an earlier model.
Like you I was interested in the pipes on a 77 to put on my 72.
$400 for a complete bike that is a non-runner is not bad but I would still try to find a pre 77 if I were you.
